Answer
·  What online counselling services do you offer?

Relationship Help Online is a website designed specifically for real-time chat. This means that you and your counsellor "meet" online at an arranged time, and engage in a counselling session using text. It's a lot like using msn. Relationships Australia also offers email and telephone services. For these services please contact your nearest office by calling our national free-call number 1300 364 277.

·  How does Relationship Help Online chat work?

Relationship Help Online uses real-time chat software which has been designed for us to provide the most secure service possible. On the date and time of your session, you login to our website and a chat console will open. Your counsellor will greet you. For more information look at the flowchart in "How it Works" on the menu.

·  How do I register for Relationship Help Online?

Choose the New User icon from the homepage. You will be asked to choose a username and provide an email address. This username is the name by which your counsellor will know you. You do not need to provide your real name. Your password will be sent to your email address. If you book an online counselling session, confirmation of your session will be sent to your email address. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose than to provide automatically generated notifications about your appointments with Relationship Help Online, without your permission.

If you wish to protect your own privacy you should use a hotmail or yahoo email address. You can create these for free by visiting Yahoo or Hotmail. Using a web-based email address means that information you receive from Relationship Help Online will NOT be downloaded onto your own computer.

·  Why do I have to register with Relationship Help Online?

Your registration form gives the counsellor information about you. This means that when you book an appointment, your counsellor will be prepared for your first session. Your time will be better used if the counsellor already has as much background information as possible.

Your personal information is encrypted and stored in a secure database.

Non-identifying information is used by use for research and funding purposes. If you have concerns about your privacy, please read our Privacy Policy.

Most of the information requested is not required, and you can choose not to answer.

·  How do I book an appointment?

After you have registered, you will receive a password by email. You can then log in to Relationship Help Online. Use the Tool Box to book a new session, or view your booked sessions. You will be able to choose an available session from the calendar or email us if you can’t find a session time that suits you.

·  How do I pay for a session?

When you choose a session from the calendar, you will be asked for your credit card details. Your credit card details are not stored by Relationship Help Online. The security of this e-commerce gateway is guaranteed by our bank.

·  What happens if I need to change or cancel an appointment?

·  What happens if my connection drops out in the middle of a session?

Reconnect to Relationship Help Online. If you are still logged in, logout, then login again. Your counsellor will initiate the chat when she/he sees that you are back online. Please read Terms of Use

·  What are the percentages or statistics of counselling success/failure rates?

Success and failure is difficult to measure, as there are so many factors to consider. We are working on client evaluation form which will help us assess clients' satisfaction with the service. Some people say online counselling is not for them, others have been very happy. Sorry can't be more specific, we've only been operating for a few months.

·  what happens if i dont have a credit card for payment

Unfortunately this site is set up for use with credit card. If you don't have a credit card and wish to use this online counselling site, it is possible for you to send a cheque or money order, enclosed with the date/time you wish to book, but this would be a slow process. If that's what you want to do, please email enquiries@relationshiphelponline.com.au and we will work it out with you.

·  Is this site secure regarding my credit card details?
Will this company take any money out of my credit card as direct debit on a regular basis? I only want to pay when i book a session, i don't want you to take money out regularly.

Dear SM
When you book for 60 minutes, the fee for that session is deducted from your credit card. Once the payment is processed and confirmed, the credit card details are deleted. We do NOT store credit card details, and we do NOT deduct anything that you haven't agreed to when you click "submit payment". It is clear in the form where you enter your credit card that you are paying for one session only.

·  How do i change my password...i find the one you gave me is impossable to remember.
Thanks
Chezza

Sorry, I know it's a pain! Can you get your computer to "remember" it, or copy and paste from email? Unfortunately it doesn't let you change the password - but we plan to upgrade the system soon.
Regards
Danielle
